Camie designed a video game based on the Chinese Credit System. This data system will rate citizens on their trustworthiness. It’ll be based on criteria, ranging from financial credibility and criminal records to social media behaviour. De Volkskrant called it ‘Amazon Consumer Tracking with an Orwellian Twist’. The game ‘Life File’ gives us a preview of how this system will effect social behaviour in China. The game’s protagonist works at Baidu (the Chinese Google) and is in desperate need of credits. It’s up to the player to collect them. He can do this in the way the Chinese regime intended, or otherwise…
