Service Design, Minor, 2015/2016
Achmea Vastgoed (a real estate agency) approached WdKA with a question about the Rotterdam retail area Lijnbaan: how do we identify this area? A search for the ‘DNA’ of the Lijnbaan followed. How could we, as service designers, contribute to attracting more visitors to the Lijnbaan?
To investigate this, the minor Service Design applied the service design process. The route was established using the well-known double-diamond model. At each stage, a number of deliverables were investigated, including personas, customer travel maps, videos, new design challenges and finally our strategy. The project group was interdisciplinary and consisted of graphic designers, advertisers and a product designer.
